Service

On the Fourth Sunday of every month center members volunteer at the Haley House Soup kitchen facility in Boston to prepare and serve lunch. This service project is from 8:45am to 12:30pm. Haley House is a facility that provides meals for homeless people. On a typical day there are about 65 to 80 homeless people visiting this facility for lunch. We need 5 volunteers for preparing lunch. E-mails are sent to the listserv to sign up. If you are interested simply reply to the email. (haleyhouse.org)

The winter of 2020 was especially cold, and the needs of Boston’s homeless population were exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic. Haley House asked us if we could help provide winter clothing and equipment to their guests. We contributed everything from gloves and socks to winter coats, hand sanitizer, and a few space heaters and delivered these items in January of 2021.

We also partner with local organizations to clean up the Neponset and Charles Rivers every Earth Day.
